America, Our Oneness Home!

Dear Eagle View Families,

We are excited to share a special (and optional) opportunity for our students to participate in a national art initiative connected to the 2026 Peace Run called “America, Our Oneness Home.”

Some of you may remember that the Peace Runners visited Eagle View two years ago—it was a meaningful and inspiring experience for our students. The Peace Run team had hoped to return to Eagle View again this year; however, their visit falls on April 21, which is now a student holiday due to special elections.

Eagle View clearly made a lasting impression, as the Peace Run organizer has extended a special invitation for our students to still participate in this year’s national art initiative!

This project invites students to reflect on what unity, peace, and belonging look like in our country and in the world. Selected artwork from across all 50 states will be featured in a traveling national exhibit.

If your child is interested in participating, please note the following:

🗓 Deadline: Monday, April 20
📏 Size: 8.5" x 11" (preferred)
🎨 Materials: Drawing, painting, crayons, markers, or collage—creativity is encouraged!
✏️ Theme: What does “Oneness Home” mean to you? This could include ideas of peace, friendship, kindness, and unity across cultures and communities.

Please label the front (lower corner if possible) with:

  • First name only
  • Age
  • School name (Eagle View Elementary), City, State

Students may turn in artwork to their teacher by Monday, April 20. We will submit selected pieces to the Peace Run team when they pass through Fairfax on April 21.

This is a wonderful opportunity for students who enjoy art and want to share a message of unity and hope with a broader audience.
