April Statewide Election: No School for Students
There will be no school for students on Tuesday, April 21, for the Virginia statewide election.
FCPS will offer lunch and a snack at no cost to children aged 18 and under on Tuesday, April 21, at participating schools. The meals must be eaten on site, and enrichment activities will be available for the children. For more information, visit the FCPS Food and Nutrition Services webpage.
Elementary Early Release Wednesday
Update for April
Due to the special election on Tuesday, April 21, many of our FCPS schools will serve as polling locations so our schools will be closed for students that day. The previously scheduled early release Wednesday scheduled for April 29th has been cancelled.
Our last early release Wednesday for this school year will be May 20th with dismissal at 12:25 p.m.

Celebrate Deer Park Night

What: A celebration of our Deer Park community, favorite foods, fitness, care for the earth and our love of reading.

Where: Deer Park Cafeteria, Gym, Lobby, Library

Optional Parent Input Form for 2026-2027 Class Placement
The end of the year is quickly approaching and we are already looking ahead to next school year. At Deer Park ES, your child’s academic success is our top priority. To determine the appropriate educational environment for your child for the 2026-2027 school year, we invite you to share information regarding your child’s needs.
List your child’s academic strengths and areas for growth or describe the type of discipline and/or reinforcement that works best for your child. You may also want to include your child’s learning style (visual, audio, tactile) and characteristics of the classroom structure or teacher personality that you feel will meet your child’s needs.
Your input is appreciated. Every effort will be made to place your child in the environment you request, but please keep in mind that not all requests can be granted. In addition, we are unable to honor specific teacher requests.

Third Quarter Student Progress Reports
