Student Attendance Summary- Coming Soon!

We want to thank you for all your support in getting your students to school. With it being the start of the 4th quarter and testing season around the corner, we will again be sending out a personalized Attendance Summary to each student and family.  We recognize that there are a variety of reasons that students are absent, and this summary will be for informational purposes only.

We appreciate your partnership in prioritizing regular school attendance.  Please reach out to your student’s counselor or visit this FCPS resource on Encouraging School Attendance if you need additional support.

April is the Month of the Military Child

It's a time to recognize children from military-connected families for their contributions and sacrifices. We recognize that children serve too! Madison has almost 100 students who are military-connected! Please show how you care by wearing anything with the color PURPLE on April 15. Madison is also hosting a free “Restorative Family Yoga” session for JMHS military-connected (all branches, Retired, Department of Defense, State Department, Foreign Affairs, and Ambassadors) families on April 15 from 6-7pm via JMHS P.E. teacher and Restorative Certified Yoga instructor Mrs. Beth Gottschalk in the main gym. A Note About Madison Activities

Extracurriculars and activities are made possible through the support of our community. FCPS gets about 70% of its budget through the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, and we hope to continue providing our students with the resources and opportunities that make our school division excellent when the Board of Supervisors finalizes its Fiscal Year 2027 Budget on May 5. Make your voice heard: reach out to your local representatives and share your ideas about funding public education. Learn more by visiting the budget webpage

Thank you for helping sustain excellence at Madison and at all Fairfax County public schools!
