 Thank you to those who attended our final Principal Coffee. This session featured a panel of SVES staff who addressed questions in real time. We appreciate everyone who joined us, as many of the questions focused on literacy and math instruction and related assessments. Additionally, we celebrated our military-connected youth through Purple Up Day, recognizing and honoring their strength and resilience.
Stuff the Bus Week is here! Please help us fill the South Lakes Food Pantry by donating items throughout the week. See details below for specific items. Donations can be dropped off in the front office. On Friday, all South Lakes pyramid principals will ride the FCPS bus to each school to collect donated items and deliver them to the pantry. A great event that highlights the generosity and spirit of our school community!

Walk, Bike, Roll to School Day encourages health, safety, and a clean environment. To participate, have your child bike, walk, or ride to school under their own power. Stop at the table at the front of the school on the day of the event to sign our poster and enter a raffle for free gifts.

If you don’t have a safe route, park close and walk/bike/roll the rest. Parking is available at the bottom of Barton Hill Rd. (near the tennis courts) and also in parking lots along Sunrise Valley Dr.

Get ready to shine! Our K-6 Talent Show is coming up, and everyone who signs up will be included - no cuts, just fun.
Sign up to participate by Thursday, April 23.
- “Auditions” on Friday, April 24 (4:05-approx. 6:00 PM) are simply for scheduling and planning (not a drop-off event - please plan to stay).
- Dress/tech rehearsals will be held Monday, April 27, and Thursday, April 30 (4:05-6:00 PM), with the big show on Friday, May 8, at 6:00 PM.
We also need volunteers to make this event a success! Middle and high school students are especially encouraged to help lead - supporting auditions, rehearsals, and show night (setup, ushers, tech, and more).
