🗨️DiBari's Dispatch
Hey Hawk Family–
I hope that everybody had an incredible week…we certainly did here! There were a lot of great things going on here at Hayfield this week, and even more to come. To start with, this week marked the beginning of the Month of the Military Child, a time recognizing and supporting families of service members. We have a variety of events to include recognitions, mixers, and field days. As a grandson to 2 service veterans, I am keenly aware of the impact and sacrifice that our service members make. We are grateful for our military connected families!
Additionally, we had our Pyramid Art show and our S2 Science Fair this week. It’s incredible to see the level of exhibits and projects that our students are putting out. Students have been working exceptionally hard and been supported by our amazing staff, and it certainly shows in the product. I hope you were able to get out and see some of this amazing work!
Lastly, I was able to swing by the Hayfield Writing Center this week. The HWC is a class of skilled and experienced writers who support students looking for help in a wide variety of writing. Students can come by the writing center, room 2445, during 2nd period or Hawk Time 4. If this doesn’t fit their schedule, they can submit their writing for tutor feedback using the link: tinyurl.com/HWCtutoring2526. Students can expect feedback within 72 hours.
Like I said, there are a lot of great things going on here at Hayfield, and I encourage you to get involved. I wish you all a great weekend…Go Hawks!

📢Hawk Highlights
The Month of the Military Child
The Hawks Student Ambassadors (HSA) had a great turnout for their Handprints on the Rock event on Wednesday to kick off Month of the Military Child. We estimate that just under 100 military students came out on this sunny April day. Thank you to everyone who supported this event!

Science Showcase
Our Science Showcase highlighted the impressive work of several honors-level students who designed and conducted experiments using strong scientific inquiry and experimental design. Students were given flexibility in how they presented their projects, allowing them to showcase their learning in creative and meaningful ways. |
From visual displays to interactive presentations, their approaches reflected a deep understanding of both content and communication. This flexibility aligned with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, ensuring students could demonstrate their knowledge in ways that best supported their strengths. |

 Pyramid Art Show
The Pyramid Art Show was a tremendous success, showcasing incredible artwork from Hayfield students as well as our surrounding elementary schools. The creativity and talent on display were truly impressive, with each piece reflecting the unique voice of our young artists. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our community and the artistic growth of students across all levels. |
