April's Early Release Wednesday - CANCELED

Half2full

Superintendent Reid sent an email to families on March 25, 2026, stating that the elementary early release scheduled for April 29th has been canceled and students will have a traditional full day of instruction and will be released at the regular dismissal time on April 29 (3:25pm for PES Students).

Important: Upcoming SOL State Testing

It’s time for our students to shine! To help them perform their best during the upcoming Standards of Learning (SOL) assessments, please prioritize these three essentials:

🕒 Attendance & Punctuality

  • Be Present: Ensure your student is at school every day of the testing window.

  • Be Early: Testing begins strictly at the start of the day. Arriving early reduces stress and avoids the need for make-up sessions.

😴 Quality Sleep

  • Rest Up: Aim for 8–10 hours of sleep. A well-rested brain improves memory recall, focus, and composure.

🍳 Healthy Fuel

    • Eat Breakfast: Provide a balanced meal to maintain energy.

    • Choose: Proteins (eggs, yogurt) and complex carbs (oatmeal).

    • Avoid: High-sugar foods that cause mid-morning energy crashes.
