Dear Hollin Meadows Parents/Guardians,
On Monday, April 6, you will receive an email with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form. This questionnaire is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and provides an opportunity for you to share anonymous feedback on key aspects of our school, including:
- Instructional leadership
- School climate
- Management (human resources and organizational)
- Communication and community relations
- Culturally responsive and equitable leadership
- Professionalism
The questionnaire will be open April 6 - April 19 and will be collected online. When you receive the email from noreply@fcps.edu, please take a few minutes to complete it. Your feedback is important to me and helps shape the future of our school. Thank you for your time and participation.

Assistant Principal Appreciation Week
This week is officially Assistant Principal Appreciation Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible impact that AP Gilley and AP Seidenberg have on our students, staff, and families every single day.
Our Assistant Principals are the engines that keep our school moving forward. From greeting students as they arrive at school to solving playground mysteries and supporting our teachers in the classroom, their energy and dedication make our school a brighter place to learn. They work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our hallways safe, our routines running smoothly, and encouraging students to be their best selves.

Kindergarten Orientation for 2026-2027
Families of rising kindergarteners are warmly invited to attend our Kindergarten Orientation for the 2026–2027 school year! This special event will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 4:00–5:00 p.m.
During the orientation, families will:
- Tour our kindergarten classrooms
- Learn important information about the upcoming school year
- Meet other kindergarten families
Please enter through the main lobby upon arrival.
We are excited to welcome our newest students and their families to our school community and look forward to helping you prepare for a successful start to kindergarten.
We can’t wait to meet our Class of 2026–2027 kindergarten families!
Orientación de Kindergarten 2026–2027
¡Les invitamos cordialmente a nuestra Orientación de Kindergarten para el año escolar 2026–2027! El evento se llevará a cabo el jueves 9 de abril de 2026, de 4:00 a 5:00 p.m.
Durante la orientación, las familias podrán:
- Recorrer nuestras aulas de jardín de infantes
- Aprender información importante para el próximo año escolar
- Conoce otras familias de kindergarten
Por favor, entren por el vestíbulo principal al llegar.

Important Dates
- April 8: 4th Grade field trip to Jamestown
- April 9: HMES Kindergarten Orientation (4:00 to 5:00 p.m.)
- April 10: No School (School Planning Day)

The Hollin Meadows team is dedicated to making our school a safe and supportive place to learn for your child. We know that the best results come from families and our school team working together. Since you often hear about your child’s day-to-day experiences before we do, please reach out with questions or concerns that you may have.

Assistant Principal Francesca Gilley (flgilley@fcps.edu) is the team leader for Pre-kindergarten, Grade 2, Grade 4, and Grade 6.

Assistant Principal Daniel Seidenberg (dpseidenberg@fcps.edu) is the team leader for Grade 1, Grade 3, and Grade 5.
AP Gilley and AP Seidenberg both work with the Kindergarten team.
