A Message from the Principal
It was a pleasure to welcome students back into the building this week following spring break. Students were eager to reconnect with their teachers and classmates, quickly reengaging in classroom learning and routines. It’s hard to believe we’re already starting the fourth and final quarter of the school year. Our focus remains on ensuring all students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn as we build instructional momentum and support strong academic progress.
April is the Month of the Military Child! Every year we take the opportunity to recognize military-connected youth for their service and contribution to our community. Fairfax County Public Schools is proud to have over 14,000 military-connected youth as a part of our student body, including students in the Centre Ridge community. We appreciate the varied life experiences they bring to our school community and recognize their strength and resilience. We are so proud of our Centre Ridge ES military students!
April is also School Library Month. In FCPS libraries, students develop knowledge and skills, experience a sense of belonging, find inspiration and support, and have the ability to freely pursue their personal interests and academic growth. We hope to see you at Centre Ridge on April 23rd for the book fair and RAM Night (Reading and Math Night).
We’ll see our Rams back on Monday, April 13th!
Sincerely,
Erika Aspuria, Principal

Support Military Children on Purple Up! Day
April is the month of the Military Child
To show our support for all our military-connected families, we are inviting all Fairfax County students, families, staff, and community members to “Purple Up!” on Wednesday, April15th.
Why purple? Purple symbolizes all branches of the military as a combination of Army green, Marine Corps red, and the blue of the Coast Guard, Navy, Air Force, and Space Force.

FY 2027 Budget: Sustaining Excellence
Help FCPS Sustain Excellence: Make Your Voice Heard on the FY 2027 Budget
About 70% of the FCPS budget comes from the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors. There are several upcoming opportunities to provide feedback to the county on its budget before final adoption in May.
