Annandale Students, Parents, and Community,
The final quarter of the school year is now underway, and we encourage students to use this time to strengthen their grades, prepare for upcoming exams, and stay focused on their goals. To help guide these efforts, this week we will begin W4 check-ins. Teachers will meet individually with students to review grades and help them prioritize their work as we enter the final stretch of the school year.
Later this month, we will begin IB and SOL testing. In preparation, we will host several Super Saturday review sessions, along with a special Super Tuesday session on April 21, the statewide election day, when there is no school for students. These sessions provide targeted practice, content review, and test taking strategies. Additional Super Saturday sessions will be held on May 2, 9, and 16, with individual invitations shared with students and families in advance.
These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to every student and represent just a few of the many ways our dedicated staff support students each day, both in the classroom and beyond. As we look ahead to Teacher Appreciation Week from May 5-9, we invite families to help recognize their impact by donating $5-10 gift cards to any establishment. Those who would like to contribute may drop the cards off in the Main Office or purchase gift cards via Amazon and have them shipped to Annandale High School.
Families can also support our school community through the Annandale PTSA Online Auction, now live at https://app.givebacks.gives/ahs2026. Every bid directly benefits the All Night Grad Party, which provides a safe, memorable, and fun-filled graduation night for our seniors. The auction will remain open until 11:59pm on Friday, April 17. Families are encouraged to share the link with others to help expand its impact.
Have a great week, Atom Nation. As always, reach out with any questions. Go Atoms!
