Student leaders facilitate a house meeting, bringing together their kindergarten, fourth grade, and fifth grade buddy classes to build community, share ideas, and learn from one another.
A Message from Principal Pietzman
Dear GBE Families,
The third quarter has been quite an adventure! I want to thank our entire school community for their flexibility during the schedule changes impacted by the weather over the last several weeks. I know I am looking forward to the change in the season to spend more time outside soon!
Our second annual STEAM Fest was an incredible success! Thank you to our amazing PTA for leading this event. I also want to recognize Ms. Green and Ms. Smallwood for their leadership in showcasing our GBE STEAM program during the event. It was awesome seeing our community come together to explore and discover so many amazing STEAM learning opportunities! Go GBE!
We are hosting our Spotlight on Learning tomorrow! Please join me in the cafeteria at 6:00 pm. I will share an overview of GBE focus with Portrait of a Graduate and how families can engage with our students during the event. We can’t wait to hear directly from our students as they share their learning with us! Food trucks will open at 5:30 pm and will remain available throughout the event. Our book fair will also be open for families to visit!
In April, we will be counting down to our One Greenbriar Basketball Game! Click here to buy your tickets! Let’s fill the stands with our Roadrunners! It’s going to be an amazing event at Chantilly High School. We hope to see you there on April 17th at 6 pm!
I also hope you’ll join my family on May 2nd for the Feed Fairfax 5K! We are excited to be a part of the GBE team! Click here to sign up. The race is organized with community partners to raise money and provide food for children facing food insecurity. My five-year-old will be attempting his first Feed Fairfax 1 Mile Fun Run!
We have so much to look forward to this last quarter of the school year! I can’t wait to make these amazing memories with our Roadrunners. I wish everyone an amazing Spring Break with family and friends!
Sincerely,
Dave Pietzman, NBCT
Principal
