👕Lost and Found

Please take time to check through the Lost & Found when you are able (located near Door 16, just down from the SACC classrooms), as we are overflowing again on all available tables! We are hoping to reunite as many items as possible with their owners before Spring Break. We will be collecting what remains in Lost and Found for donation on Tuesday, April 7. Please make sure you, or your student, have checked Lost and Found before Spring Break!

📝Student Intentions 2026-2027 Responses needed!

If you have not turned in your Student Intention form yet, please use this Google form to let us know whether or not your student will be returning to Mosaic ES next year or transferring to another school. If you have more than one student at Mosaic ES, please submit one form per child. A response is requested from all families by the end of March. This information is important as state regulations require that we determine the educational intentions of students leaving FCPS. If you have moved or plan on moving, or have any questions, please contact Jenny Davisson at jvdavisson@fcps.edu to update your information.

🎉 New Student Registration

Do you have a child turning 5 by September 30? Know a family who recently moved into your neighborhood?

Help us spread the word to friends and neighbors.

Families can register their new students in one of the following ways:

• Online (preferred): fcps.edu/online-registration

• Download forms: fcps.edu/registration/forms

• In person: Stop by the school office to pick up a registration packet

We look forward to welcoming our newest students and families to our school community!

📖Congratulations, WordMasters!

A Mosaic Elementary sixth grader, Vincenzo Strazzeri, earned a perfect score in the second meet of this year’s WordMasters Challenge™, a national vocabulary competition involving nearly 125,000 students. Competing in the difficult Gold Division, Vincenzo was one of just 41 sixth graders nationwide to achieve a perfect score. Additional top performers included fifth graders Kai Lowrey, Kelsey Lynch, Yo-Yo Zheng, and Nora Yuan. Students were coached by sixth grade teacher Patrick Chapa and fifth grade teacher Aaron Anuszewski.

🪖Save the Date! Military Family Field Day

FCPS is excited to celebrate the Month of the Military Child with a good, old-fashioned field day! We invite all military-connected families with FCPS students to a special field day to honor our military-connected children.

Join us for an afternoon of fun and community at Annandale High School (4700 Medford Dr, Annandale, VA 22003) on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from noon to 2 p.m. Enjoy field day games and crafts at the football and track stadium. Food and beverages will be available for purchase to support various FCPS school clubs and organizations. This is a great opportunity to connect with other military families across the division!

To RSVP, please complete this Google form by Friday, March 27, 2026.

🔖Educate Fairfax Bookmark Contest

Students are invited to participate in the Educate Fairfax Bookmark Contest! Using the theme “Today’s Reader, Tomorrow’s Leader,” students can showcase their creativity by designing an original bookmark. Entries will be judged on creativity, connection to the theme, neatness, and how well big ideas are expressed in fun ways. Winners will receive prizes, and submissions are due by April 17. For more details, instructions, and the bookmark template, visit EducateFairfax.org.

📜Revolutionary Fun for the Whole Family!

On Saturday, April 18, the Fairfax County History Commission will host Revolutionary Ideas: Fairfax County’s American Revolution, featuring free, interactive activities designed with young learners in mind. From hands-on experiences to creative ways to explore the past, elementary-age students will have plenty of opportunities to jump in and have fun. The conference will be held at the Fairfax County Government Center (2000 Government Center Pkwy, Fairfax, VA 22035), with children’s activities beginning at 1:30 p.m.
