Code Up

Kings Park Families,

The arrival of spring is always a welcome milestone in our school year. It brings longer days, warmer weather, and renewed energy for learning and growth. The change in season also comes with a growing sense of excitement across the building.

This afternoon our Code Up! participants culminated their learning about problem solving and engineering using MakerSpace strategies. Students applied creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking to design and build innovative solutions, proudly showcasing their growth and enthusiasm to families.

We look forward to carrying that same energy into tomorrow as we host our Kindergarten Orientation from 2:35pm–3:35 p.m. We are excited to welcome our future students and families and begin building connections that will carry into the school year ahead.

Please note that this Friday, March 27th, is the end of the quarter and a 2-hour early release. All students (Grades PreK-3) will dismiss at 1:20pm. AM pre-school classes follow a normal schedule and PM pre-school classes are canceled that day. Next week is Spring Break, followed by a teacher workday on Monday, April 6th.

Wishing all of our Kings Park families a refreshing spring break.

Kings Park Admin Team

Sincerely,

Mrs. Dotty Lin, Mrs. Jenn Burke and Mrs. Anna Kaplan

At the start of the orientation, parents and kindergarteners separate at Door 4. Parents will proceed to the cafeteria, while students will be escorted to Kindergarten classrooms.
