 Orchestra State Assessment-Superior Ratings

West Springfield Orchestra

We are excited to share that the West Springfield High School Orchestra Program recently participated in the VBODA State Orchestra Assessment and earned all Superior and Excellent Ratings!

State Assessment is an important event where ensembles perform prepared pieces for a panel of judges and are evaluated on musical performance, technique, and ensemble skills. Our students worked hard preparing for this performance and represented West Springfield with focus, professionalism, and strong musicianship!
Please join us in congratulating our orchestra students on this accomplishment! 🎶👏

AP Research: Data and Desserts

Students enjoying desserts while discussing their data findings

AP Research students (AP Capstone II) are a little over a month away from submitting their academic papers to College Board and completing their Presentation & Oral Defense. Students' projects received approval in early December and they've had 3 months to execute their research methods and collect their data in the real world. On 3/13, AP Research participated in a day of "Data and Desserts" to have a sweet snack while they discuss their findings so far.
