🏀 ST Math March Mathness: The Elite Eight are Here!

The energy in the building was absolutely electric for Week 2! Our student athletes didn’t just show up; they brought the hustle, the focus, and some serious "math power" to the court. From buzzer-beating division to high-stakes fractions, the perseverance on display was nothing short of legendary.

🏆 The Winners’ Circle

After an intense round of head-to-head calculations, we are thrilled to announce the teachers moving on to the Final Four:

  • Ms. Gaynor

  • Ms. Norico

  • Ms. Edmonson

  • Mr. Blake

Who will punch their ticket to the Championship Round? The tension is building!

🌟 Every Student is an MVP

Even if your child’s class didn’t make the cut this week, the season isn’t over! The race for the Grade-Level MVP Title is still wide open. Individual trophies will be awarded to the students who crush the most puzzles! There is still plenty of time for your child to climb the leaderboard and take home the gold!

Learn About Kindergarten at Little Run!

Our kindergarten open house is being held on April 10th at 2:00 PM to give parents of students entering school in August an opportunity to learn more about kindergarten at our school.

We recognize that parents are their children’s first teachers. Resources on the School Readiness and Transition to Kindergarten webpage provide parents with ways to support their children to help ensure a smooth transition to kindergarten.

Kindergarten Registration: It’s as Easy as 1-2-3…

There’s an easy five-step process for parents wanting to register their child for kindergarten:

  1. Determine eligibility.
  2. Identify your local school.
  3. Gather documents.
  4. Fill out forms.
  5. Schedule an appointment.

After the appointment at the school (the student and one caregiver must be present), the student will be ready for orientation or any other introductory events each school may host. Read more about the registration process. For more information, contact our student information assistant, Nadia Ruffner, at  nruffner@fcps.edu or 703-503-3500 with any questions.

💻 Try Online Registration

Parents may register their children online for kindergarten through 12th grade. Learn how to begin the online registration process. When registering, parents will create (or log in to an existing) SIS ParentVUE account.
