Principal Note |
Dear London Towne Families,
What a whirlwind of a week it has been. They say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, and based on this week’s wacky weather, the lion is definitely making its presence known! Whether it’s been unexpected gusts or sudden downpours, we are all keeping our fingers crossed for those calmer, "lamb-like" spring days ahead.
🏁 Crossing the Finish Line
It is hard to believe, but this coming Friday officially marks the end of the 3rd Quarter. Please note our adjusted schedule: we have a 3-hour early release on Wednesday and a 2-hour early release on Friday. Following the sismissal on Friday, Spring Break begins! School will be closed from March 28th through April 6th. We hope you enjoy this well-deserved time to recharge.
⏰ Maximizing Learning: New Tardy Procedures
We’ve noticed a recent increase in morning tardiness. While we know mornings can be unpredictable, every minute of instructional time is precious. To minimize disruptions and ensure every student starts their day on a high note, we are shifting our protocols.
Starting this week, we are implementing the following:
-
Grouped Transitions: Students arriving late may be asked to wait briefly in the office until another student from a nearby pod or classroom arrives. This reduces the number of times a lesson is interrupted.
-
Scheduled Buddy Support: Classroom teachers may choose a natural break in their lesson to send a "buddy" to the office to collect late arrivals, ensuring the flow of teaching isn't broken mid-sentence.
Thank you for partnering with us to help keep our classrooms focused and our students on track. We appreciate your support in making every school day count!
Warmly,
Shele Banford, Principal
Jordan Moore, Assistant Principal
Lucy Zamora, Assistant Principal

2025-26 Early Release Wednesdays |
⏰ Limited Early Release Days for Elementary Schools (K-6 only)
Early Release Wednesdays apply only to students in grades K-6. Preschool students still attend school for their regular hours.
While we anticipate that most students will be dismissed at 12:05 p.m. on limited early release Wednesdays, we recognize that some families may require childcare. These students will be supervised by school-based staff. No new instruction will take place, as after-school care is strictly supervision.
Remaining 3-hour early release days for our school will include:

🗓️ 3rd Quarter End:
Friday, March 27, is the last day of the third quarter and early release for students.
🌷Spring Break:
Schools and school offices will be closed March 30 to April 3 for spring break. Monday, April 6, is a teacher work day and there will be no school for students. We wish our students and teachers a happy and restful Spring Break!
See the complete school year calendar.
