Greetings Laurel Ridge Families,
What a week it has been at Laurel Ridge! We have certainly seen the "wild" side of our local weather, transitioning from spring-like sunshine to chilly gusts in the blink of an eye. I am so excited to see many of you tomorrow morning for our annual Run for the Ridge! Whether you are sprinting for a personal best or enjoying a brisk walk with neighbors, this event is such a wonderful way to celebrate our vibrant school community. As we look toward next week, please mark your calendars for Math Madness Family Night on Wednesday. It’s going to be an evening full of energy where you can learn hands-on games and activities to support your child’s numeracy skills at home.
A key part of our students' success, both in math and across all subjects, is consistent school attendance. Every day a Lion is in the building is an opportunity for collaborative learning and social growth that simply cannot be replaced. Being here on time and ready to learn ensures your child feels connected and confident. To help your child reflect on their week, try a "High-Low-Buffalo" dinner conversation tonight: ask them for one "high" point of their day, one "low" point, and one "buffalo"—something random or funny that happened. This specific prompt often yields much more insight than a standard "How was your day?"
Thank you for your continued partnership and for making Laurel Ridge such a special place to learn and grow.
Have a wonderful weekend.
