Message from the President

Hello Families, Teachers, and Staff,

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! ☘️

The PTSA had a busy week last week!!! On Wednesday, we partnered with Student Services to present the Sophomore Parent/Student College Night.  It was a great success with over 160 attendees attending to hear from Erin Slater, Director of Admissions for University of North Carolina!  That night we had a fundraiser with Old Dominion Pizza.  Thank you to the families who supported those events.

This past Friday, the PTSA celebrated Pi Day by selling donuts and mini pies to the students during their lunch hours!  It was a WONDERFUL success!  A BIG THANK YOU to 1) our on-site  volunteers, 2) families who contributed towards the event, 3) the athletic boosters, 4) the FHS team and 5) the families who contributed towards the event.  We hope to be back for another fundraiser so please be on the lookout for future details.

Saturday School Dates

Saturday School

Saturday school is being held this weekend, March 21

What is Saturday School?

Picture a relaxed setting where students can catch up on subjects or ask questions without the usual class rush. Saturday School provides a calm atmosphere for focused learning. If students are feeling overwhelmed with assignments, Saturday School is an excellent time to seek assistance. Teachers will be available to guide them through challenging classwork. This is a great way for students to take advantage of this extra time, recover some of their course work and attendance concerns.

Please see the dates for the rest of the year; UPDATED dates are in bold:

March 21

April 11, 18, 25

May 2, 9, 16, 23

June 6

These dates may change, so keep an eye on this space for changes!
