PTSA appreciates McLean High School’s Social Worker!

Last week, the PTSA celebrated its School Social Worker. The PTSA presented a bamboo salad bowl set in appreciation for all Ms. Jerome-Featherson does for the school community. The PTSA, through the Hospitality Committee, supports staff throughout the year by planning appreciation events such as these gifts. Ms. Jerome-Featherson, Thank you for all that you do for our community!

Class of 2026 All Night Graduation Party

Ways to Support

Greetings families!! We are actively preparing for the Class of 2026 All Night Graduation Party (ANGP) which will be held on June 9, 2026. The ANGP provides a safe, alcohol-free and drug-free evening for our Seniors to celebrate after their high school graduation. Every year our students look forward to the ANGP, which is an amazing, fun-filled event where they can spend one last time making memories with their classmates and enjoy a variety of entertainment, games, great food, prizes, and much more. We make this happen each year with the support of students, families, and the McLean community. Questions? Contact the committee at angp@mcleanptsa.org.

Your Voice Matters!
Solar Power at FCPS Schools

solar2

McLean High School has been approved to install rooftop solar panels as part of FCPS’s effort to reduce long-term electricity costs. Solar allows schools to lock in lower energy rates, potentially saving millions of dollars that can be redirected to classrooms instead of utility bills. A 30% federal tax credit currently makes these projects much more affordable, but it expires soon. If FCPS does not move quickly, we risk losing that savings opportunity.

Please take a minute to thank the School Board for approving solar at MHS and encourage them to move forward while this funding is still available:

Thank you for your support.
