Important Dates for Your Calendar!

March 20th - Eid al-Fitr - No School

Friday, March 20, is a holiday and all schools and offices are closed for Eid and Nowruz. See the complete school year calendar.  Eid Mubarak to those in our Muslim community celebrating.  In Islam, Eid al-Fitr is a 3 day festival to mark the end of Ramadan. Muslims dress in new clothes, give charity, and pray in congregation. Eid is celebrated with the exchange of presents and delicious food with family and friends. #OurFCPS

Early Release Wednesday

Dismissal at 12:25 p.m.

We have three early release Wednesdays remaining in this school year. Our next Early Release is Wednesday, March 25th when we dismiss at 12:25 p.m. Students will be dismissed the same way they were dimissed during the last early release.  Please plan accordingly.

April Statewide Election: No School for Students

There will be no school for students on Tuesday, April 21, for the Virginia statewide election. Student activities, athletic practices, and events may proceed as scheduled.

Spring Picture Day is Coming

Victor O'Neill Studios will be at Deer Park Elementary School for Spring Picture Day and Class group photos.

Date:  Thursday, March 26, 2026

All students will be photograhed and approximately 10 days after picture day, parents will have the option to order online. 

* Please note, there is no makeup day for class group photos *

SYA Youth Sports

Every child deserves to play, grow, and thrive through sports. SYA has multi-sport clinic opportunities. Looking for a new sport?  SYA is offering a one-day multi sport clinic, for boys and girls in grades 1-6.

Mark your Calendar!

Our Annual Family Bingo Night hosted by the 6th grade class is coming APRIL 24th! There will be great prizes, and concessions (drink, candy, pizza and all beef hot dogs) for sale. Come out for a night of FUN, FOOD and PRIZES. This event supports the 6th grade end of year class party! More details coming soon! 6th GRADE FAMILIES:  We need your help to run this event so that the 6th grade can get 100% of the proceeds. A New BRICK FUNDRAISER Coming Soon!

We have partnered with Polar Engraving on a special project on the playground. Under the new playground  sunshade we will lay your custom Deer Park Community bricks down! They will be sealed to last for years to come! Keep an eye out for more information.
