 Run-a-Thon Kicks Off This Weekend!
Don’t miss out on these exclusive "early bird" rewards! You have until Sunday, March 8 at midnight to hit these goals: Students can choose to run, walk, or cheer for their classmates.

Win a T-Shirt:Any student who registers and raises $25 by Sunday night will receive an official Run-a-thon t-shirt.

Win for your class:If 50% of a classroom registers by Sunday night, that teacher receives a $50 Amazon gift card for the class!
Cash: If your student collects $25 in cash, just drop it off at the front office on Monday, March 9, and they will still qualify for their t-shirt!

This Thursday: Information packets with registration instructions sent home.

Friday, March 13:Deadline to submit a promotional poster to the front office for the Poster Raffle. (Ensure the student's name is on the back!)

April 8 & April 9:Run-a-thon (Specific grade-level schedules to follow).
Run-a-thon Poster Raffle
Want another way to help? Create a poster promoting the Run-a-thon! Students should bring their poster with their name on it to the front office by Friday, March 13, 2026, and they will be entered into a raffle to win a prize. All posters will be placed throughout the school.
 Last Call for the Book Fair
Our annual Book Fair is going on right now, and we love celebrating the joy of reading with our students and families.
📍 New Location: This year, the fair is being held in the Music Room (right next to the cafeteria)!
There are 2 more days to pick up your next favorite book.

A running program designed for 3rd - 6th graders, Dragon Runners is an exciting program that is aimed at strengthening students in body and spirit by combining group activities with running

New! LaunchHub Robotics for K–3 🚀
Robotics is coming to Dranesville Elementary! This high-energy, hands-on program helps students become creators—not just consumers—by building with real components like motors, LED lights, battery packs, and motion sensors.

Learn chess with Silver Knights Academy, the five time world champion’s academy! Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies.
