We NEED YOUR HELP! Food for Others still has many dates open for volunteers to help! Please consider signing up here!
It only takes about an hour and makes a HUGE impact in our community.
The wonderful Wolftrap community has been collecting food for Food For Others, a nonprofit that collects food and donates it to the local community in need.
We need volunteers to pick up the food from the PTA closet on Fridays between 2:00-3:00 p.m. and drop off at the Loading Dock at the Food For Others warehouse.
Please see the additional dates through the end of the school year. Please note March 27 and June 17 are half days.
The food is located in the refrigerator of the PTA Closet (in the cafeteria) and will need to be put in the cooler and bags and brought to your car and dropped off at: 2938 Prosperity Ave., Fairfax VA.
The cooler would need to be returned to the PTA Closet by 10:30 a.m. on Mondays to help collect for the following week.
Please contact Michelle Scalise at (917) 499-4419 or mzscalise@gmail.com with any questions.
The March General PTA meeting will be held next Wednesday night, March 11 at the school. Wolftrap parent Dr. Amir Miodovnik of Pediatric Development Solutions will speak to attendees. Dr. Midovnik will be speaking on understanding typical variation, recognizing when additional support may be helpful, and fostering executive function and resilience in growing learners.
The Wolftrap Walking Wednesday Committee is looking for volunteers to help out on Wednesday mornings! Volunteers are needed to help with clean up and set up. This is a fun way to meet other Wolftrap parents, and the kids love this event!
For more information, or to volunteer, please text Liz Finnerty at (571) 265-2356.
This year’s 6th graders will be celebrated in style on Friday, June 12 at a breakfast ceremony. The promotion ceremony has been scaled back to its pre-Covid days. Families will join for a hot breakfast, a brief ceremony, and the celebratory hall walk. If you would like to help, please email ashleyeuhl@gmail.com; or just wait for the sign up genius to come out. This will include spots for set up & clean up volunteers, food donations, and more!
Photos are still needed from the school dance and Read Across America week, for this year's yearbook. Please send to yearbook@wolftrappta.org.
