 Save the Date: Dranesville Run-a-thon!
Save-the-date! The 2026 run-a-thon fundraiser will kick off on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Students can choose to run, walk, or cheer for their classmates.
From Thursday, March 5 – Sunday, March 8 at midnight, any classroom that has 50% of its students registered will receive a $50 Amazon gift card. Additionally, any student that registers and raises $25 by midnight on Sunday, March 8 will receive a run-a-thon t-shirt.
Note: If your student collects the $25 in cash form, please have it dropped off at the front office on Monday, March 9, and your student will still receive a t-shirt.
Information packets on how to register will be sent home with students next Thursday.
The run-a-thon dates will be Wednesday, April 8 and Thursday, April 9, 2026. Additional information will be provided on which day each grade will participate.
Run-a-thon Poster Raffle
As an additional way for students to participate in this event, we encourage any student interested to create a poster promoting the Run-a-thon. Students should bring their poster with their name on it to the front office by Friday, March 13, 2026, and they will be entered into a raffle to win a prize. All posters will be placed throughout the school.
 The Book Fair is Almost Here!
Mark your calendars, Dranesville! Our annual Book Fair is coming March 2–6, and we can’t wait to celebrate the joy of reading with our students and families.
📍 New Location: This year, the fair will be held in the Music Room (right next to the cafeteria)!

Robotics is coming to Dranesville Elementary! This high-energy, hands-on program helps students become creators—not just consumers—by building with real components like motors, LED lights, battery packs, and motion sensors.
