CES March 5th: Parent Literacy Workshop for Emerging Readers

Special Announcement for Upcoming Literacy Workshop for Parents

This session is geared towards kindergarten parents of students that are continuing to build foundational skills in reading. If your child is reading and deemed low risk on our recent VALLSS assessment, your child is on track with reading development and this session may not apply to you.

We also welcome parents that have rising kindergarten students and would like support on ways to working with their emerging reader.

It would help our team best meet the needs to know who is planning to attend the sessions.

REGISTER TO ATTEND one session

Please register by Wednesday 3/4, so we know who is planning to attend.

Sincerely,
Stacy Kirkpatrick, Principal

Helping your child become a confident reader is an exciting journey—and we’re here to partner with you! Join our Kindergarten teachers and Reading Specialist for a Parent Literacy Workshop focused on practical ways to support your developing reader at home.

Choose the session that works best for you:

  • March 5th, Thursday, 9:00–10:00 AM – In person at Chesterbrook
  • March 5th, Thursday, 6:30 PM – Virtual via Zoom  (Session will be recorded and shared)

You’ll learn simple, effective strategies that connect directly to classroom instruction, with a focus on:

Resources will be provided to help you confidently reinforce these skills at home.

We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s reading growth!
