Dear Whitman Middle School Families,
I’m writing with an update as we head into the next stretch of the school year. We continue to appreciate the steady work happening in classrooms every day—our students have been focused, and our staff remain committed to strong instruction and student well-being.
A quick reminder: consistent attendance matters. If your child is having difficulty getting to school regularly, please reach out—we can help problem-solve and connect you with supports.
If your student needs extra support in reading, math, or science, we strongly encourage them to stay after school for help. Our teachers are here to support students, answer questions, and provide targeted assistance so they can stay on track.
Our students are currently taking the WIDA assessment, and they are doing extremely well. We’re proud of their effort, focus, and the growth they’re showing.
The 8th Grade Legacy Fundraiser (Whitman PTSA) is off to a strong start. So far, we’ve raised $1,441, with a profit of $720.00. We have two days left, and a final push can make a big difference.
Thank you for your partnership and for helping our 8th graders finish strong.
