Dear Families,
We hope everyone enjoyed their snow day! We have less than four months left in the school year, and it is still not too late to join the PTA. Our goal this school year is 300 members, and we are currently at 235 members. It does not require any time for volunteering, and your membership dues fund the school in many different ways (field trips, Fall & Spring events, assemblies, staff appreciation week, etc.). Thank you for your support!

Today is an early release day, so why not spend the afternoon/evening with your friends at Chuck E. Cheese? The fundraiser will take place at the Herndon location from 1-9pm. See you all there!

Calling all Pumas! Mark your calendars for the annual Colin Powell Bingo Night. We hope you will come out and support the 6th grade class on Friday, March 6 for a fun-filled family night full of bingo games, pizza, snacks, and prizes! Proceeds from Bingo Night go towards the 6th grade end of year celebration.

TICKETS MUST BE PRE-ORDERED FOR ALL PERSONS ATTENDING. This is not a drop off event. All adults must accompany all children.

Tickets are $5 per person for 10 Bingo cards and MUST be pre-ordered and purchased in advance. Additional cards may be purchased at the event.

Pizza will be sold (pre-order ONLY) along with water. Snacks will be sold at the event.

Please return the order form and your cash/check (payable to CPES PTA) in an envelope marked “Bingo Night” by Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

BINGO ORDER FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED WHEN MAXIMUM CAPACITY IS MET.

Thank you to those who have been saving all their clean & dry plastic bags for the NexTrex Recycling Challenge! Your child can continue bringing the bags to school & dropping it off in collection boxes that are located in the front lobby/office. If we collect a minimum of 1,000 pounds, our school can win a Trex bench!
Yearbooks are available for purchase until May 1st. Please see the flyer below for more information. Students who purchase a yearbook will receive them at the end of the year.
