VOICES OF NOW | JOHNSON ENSEMBLE 2026

Become part of Voices of Now, where creativity meets issues that matter to you. Join an ensemble of youth and teen artists to co-create an autobiographical play that speaks to your collective experiences. You’ll showcase your work at the Voices of Now Festival at Arena Stage, engaging in a fast-paced, collaborative performance that asks meaningful questions and challenges societal perspectives. This is a platform for your voice—let's make it heard.

2026 KJMS Spring Track & Field

Dear KJMS Families,

Exciting News! KJMS is gearing up for the 2026 Track and Field season. All students, whether beginners or experienced, are welcome to join! Explore events like the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 4x400, long jump, and Shot put. We practice twice a week (2:30pm – 4:30pm) at KJMS with Saturday morning competitions at local high schools. Stay tuned for our parent/student interest meeting in March.

Please note that several steps must be completed before students can participate in ANY activities. (Practice and Meets)

Pre-Season Running Club (2 weeks):

To help athletes get ready and ease back into training. The program is optional

🔥 LEVEL UP YOUR CREATIVITY: Join The Pixel Forge!

Are you tired of just playing games? It's time to BUILD them!

Welcome to The Pixel Forge, the ultimate after-school club where we turn digital ideas into physical, playable, custom gear using 3D printing and design software (Tinkercad).

This club is for designers, gamers, artists, and anyone curious about how cool things are made.

What You'll Do:

  • DESIGN: Learn the secrets of 3D modeling, mastering precision to make perfectly weighted and functional game pieces.
  • PRINT: Watch your creations become real! We'll use 3D printers to bring your digital files into the physical world.
  • PLAY: We'll use your custom creations—from epic custom chess pieces and unique pawns to perfectly balanced dice—in actual tournaments and games.

No Experience? No Problem!

NO prior experience in modeling or printing is required. We start from the absolute beginning. All you need is your imagination and a desire to create something awesome.

The only qualification is your interest!

Does your student need a hand with assignments? KJMS Learner’s Lab offers a quiet, productive space with teacher support right after school!

It’s the perfect spot to catch up, study, or get extra guidance in a focused environment.

Weekly Schedule (2:30-3:30):

  • Monday: Assessment Retakes & World Language Help
  • Wednesday: Core Content Support (Math Focus)
  • Thursday: Core Content Assistance

FHS Math Club Students will also be at KJMS to help students with Math from 3:30-4:30 on Wednesdays

  1. Complete the Parent Digital Consent - Last year, over 90% of KJMS Students stayed after-school - complete the Parent Digital Consent to give your student the option of staying after school
  2. Check out the KJMS Clubs-By-Day Calendar - See what clubs and activities will be offered - this calendar will be updated with club descriptions and signup links
  3. Check out the KJMS ASP Calendar - This is the most updated calendar with live updates
  4. Review the KJMS After-School FAQ Presentation with your student to better understand the how KJMS After-School works
  5. Stay Connected - KJMS After-School will regularly send out updates about upcoming clubs and signups through Schoology, News You Choose and Talking Points

If you are picking up your student during after-school hours, please make sure to pull up in front of Door 7.  You can either come to the door or text/call your student.

Parents who speak Amharic, Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Spanish, Urdu, or Vietnamese can call a telephone information line for general information about FCPS and to receive support if they are having difficulty communicating with their children's schools due to a language barrier.
