Our next Early Release Wednesday is February 25 at 12:15 p.m. Supervision will be provided until 3:15 p.m. for families who have pre-arranged supervision with Oak View.
Next Week is Kindness Week
Get ready for Oak View Kindness Week from February 23–27! We’re celebrating with a week of daily themes to show our spirit and commitment to being kind:
Monday (Feb 23): "Team up for Kindness"—Wear your favorite sports jersey or team gear.
Tuesday (Feb 24): "Don’t hide from Kindness"—Wear camouflage (or green, brown, and black).
Wednesday (Feb 25): "School-wide Kindness"—Show your pride in OV Spiritwear.
Thursday (Feb 26): "Work out Kindness"—Wear your favorite workout clothes.
Friday (Feb 27): "Kindness from the Inside Out"—Wear your clothes inside out to let your kindness spill out!
Author Leah Henderson visiting in March
Author Leah Henderson will be visiting students in grades 3-6 on March 17. If you would like to purchase her books, please order through Bookworm Central. Books will be delivered to Oak View and will be signed by the author. The deadline to order is March 1. If you have questions, please feel free to email Mrs. Atkins.
Ramadan Observation and Meal Kits
If your student is observing Ramadan during school hours, please fill out this Ramadan Participation Questionnaire so we can coordinate on both a prayer schedule and a lunch alternative location for them, if needed.
From February 18 to March 19, students who are fasting during the day can take school meals home. These kits include one breakfast and one lunch to be eaten after the school day ends. Visit the Food and Nutrition webpage for forms, deadlines, and other information.
Newsies, Jr., March 4 and 6
Oak View’s Little Wings Theatre is proud to present Disney's Newsies, Jr. on Wednesday, March 4, and Friday, March 6. Both performances begin at 7:30 p.m., with Door 2 opening at 7:15 p.m. for seating. Roses will be available for purchase at the show, with all proceeds directly supporting our talented Little Wings Theatre program. We can’t wait to see you there for an evening of incredible music and storytelling!
Around the World Heritage Night, March 26
Heritage Night will be held on March 26, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Heritage Night is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of the cultures and stories that define our community. As we prepare for this year’s free community gathering, we invite you to contribute your time or talents to help make it a success.
