Upcoming Student Experience Survey at Olde Creek
Our school will participate in the FCPS Student Experience Survey. This survey will gather important feedback from students about their school experiences to help FCPS make meaningful improvements.
All students in grades 3-6, except those who have opted out, have received a link to the survey in their FCPS email. We will administer the survey during the school day before Friday, March 6. The survey will take about 30 minutes.

Music in Our Schools Month
Does your student love to perform? Do they take music lessons outside of school and want to show off their skills?
March is Music in our Schools Month! This year, we are looking for student musicians to perform some songs in the lobby in the morning as students are coming to school. Each musician will get a day during March to perform a mini concert for their friends! If your student is interested, please fill out this Google Form

Congratulations Odyssey of the Mind!
Congratulations to the Olde Creek Elementary Odyssey of the Mind Team for taking first place for Division 1 (grades 3 - 5), in their problem, "Classics: Epic Quest" in Region 9. They will be competing at the Virginia State tournament on March 14th at Tuscarora HS in Leesburg. Way to go Bears!

Kindergarten Registration
🧸 Kindergarten Registration: It’s as Easy as 1-2-3…
There’s an easy five-step process for parents wanting to register their child for kindergarten:
- Determine eligibility.
- Identify your local school.
- Gather documents.
- Fill out forms.
- Schedule an appointment.
After the appointment at the school (the student and one caregiver must be present), the student will be ready for orientation or any other introductory events each school may host. Woodson Fanquest
Woodson High School Mulch Sale
The annual Woodson Mulch Sale has arrived. Freshen up your flower beds and support the Woodson High School Leadership and Sports Leadership Classes at the same time. The Leadership Classes are once again offering high quality shredded hardwood mulch for purchase. Orders for 3-cubic foot bags of mulch must be received by Thursday, March 5, for pick-up at Woodson or delivery to your home on Sunday, March 15. When placing an order for 10 or more bags, delivery is an option. All mulch will be delivered on Sunday, March 15, beginning at 8:30 AM. Register Today With Volunteer FCPS
Volunteer FCPS allows individuals to search and register for volunteer opportunities. It helps ensure a safe, consistent, and welcoming environment here at [School]. All volunteers must:
- Create a profile in Volunteer FCPS.
- Register for opportunities through Volunteer FCPS.
- Sign in and out of schools using the visitor kiosk.

Pre-K and Early Head Start Programs
FCPS Pre-K and Early Head Start programs provide a high-quality early learning experience for qualifying children with economic and educational risk factors, ages 6 weeks to 4 years, living in Fairfax County.
- Pre-K prioritizes 4-year-old applicants but also accepts applications for children who will be 3 years old by September 30 of the same year.
- Early Head Start is located at three elementary schools — Clearview, Crestwood, and Dogwood — and accepts applications from pregnancy to 2 years old.
Families are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Space is limited and provided based on need, not on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applications are accepted online, by email, by mail, or in person at the program office at 7423 Camp Alger Avenue, Falls Church, Virginia 22042.
