PTA Meeting- Tonight!
Join us at our next PTA meeting tonight, Wednesday, February 18.
Come at 5:30pm to chat with other parents, and the meeting will start at 6pm. Pizza, chips, and drinks will be available (donations accepted).
We'll provide updates on current activities and will have a guest speaker, Tara Prohoniak, Math Resource Teacher.
Ms. Prohoniak will share information about the new universal screener in math called the MAP Growth Assessment. Details will include how families can understand their students’ results, how teachers use the data to drive instruction and make decisions within our Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) to provide necessary intervention.
Financial Literacy Workshop
During the meeting, Finance Forward will offer a financial literacy workshop for students in 1st-6th grade. This will build on the content they shared in January. Any students 1st-6th grade is welcome to participate. Sign up for the workshop.

The PTA is thrilled to announce that the Annual School Musical is confirmed! Our performance dates will be May 14th (evening), May 15th (evening), and May 16th (matinee).
Audition details will follow very soon!
In the meantime, please complete the Google form to indicate interest in participation. This form ONLY indicates interest and does not commit or guarantee anything. We simply want to understand our potential audition numbers to best prepare.

Spring and class picture day is on Tuesday, March 3. We need several volunteers to make sure the day runs smoothly. Feel free to sign up for a volunteer slot even if you can't stay the whole time.

Used Book Sale

Join us for our first ever Used Book Sale to support the Hunters Woods PTA.
This is a community event, so please invite your family, friends, and neighbors.

PTA Nominating Committee Volunteers Needed
We need 1 more volunteer to serve on our PTA nominating committee. This committee will guide the process to fill open PTA positions for the 2026-2027 school year. As part of the nominating committee, you would:
- Attend the next 2-3 general PTA meetings
- Help identify nominees for open PTA board positions (we will have several open positions)
- Run nominations during PTA general meeting later this year
This commitment would be approximately 1-2 hours per month over the next few months.

Our schedule for delivering the weekend food bags is open through the end of the school year. If you have 20 minutes free on Friday mornings before school, we could use your help. We have a handful of volunteer spots for the year left.
