Ramadan Observation and Meal Kits
If your student is observing Ramadan during school hours, please fill out this Ramadan Participation Questionnaire so we can coordinate on both a prayer schedule and a lunch alternative location for them, if needed.
From February 18 to March 19, students who are fasting during the day can take school meals home. These kits include one breakfast and one lunch to be eaten after the school day ends. Visit the Food and Nutrition webpage for forms, deadlines, and other information.

🧸 Kindergarten Registration: It’s as Easy as 1-2-3…
There’s an easy five-step process for parents wanting to register their child for kindergarten:
- Determine eligibility.
- Identify your local school.
- Gather documents.
- Fill out forms.
- Schedule an appointment.
After the appointment at the school (the student and one caregiver must be present), the student will be ready for orientation or other introductory events. Read more about the registration process. For additional information, please contact Jackie O'Brien, our school registrar.
PTA Kindness Night, Thursday, February 19
💚 PTA Kindness Night is this Thursday, February 19 from 6:30–8:00 p.m., and all students and families are invited! (Please note that this is not a drop off event.)
Join us for an evening of giving back as we pack weekend food bags for food-insecure students at Frost Middle School, create friendship bracelets, and write thank-you notes to community helpers and first responders.
To help the night run smoothly, we’re also looking for volunteers! Shifts are short, so you can lend a hand and still enjoy the event with your family.
Volunteer here: Oak View PTA: Kindness Night Volunteers
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated from our Amazon Wishlist — your generosity is making a meaningful impact! 💚
🍕 Old Dominion Pizza PTA Spirit Night
What’s better than not cooking dinner? Not cooking dinner on an early release Wednesday and having your meal support OV PTA!
Join us on Wednesday, February 25 between 4pm- 8pm at Old Dominion Pizza in Fairfax for our Spirit Night. When you mention OV PTA, a portion of your purchase will be donated back to our school to help fund events, activities, and programs that support our students and staff.
Grab the family, skip the dishes, and enjoy a delicious way to give back. We can’t wait to see you there! 💚
