Winter Assessment Results in ParentVue
Student Screening Assessments
During the school year, students participate in a variety of academic screening and progress monitoring assessments, including iReady, VALLS, MAP testing, and other district tools. These assessments help teachers monitor student growth, identify strengths, and determine where additional support may be needed to ensure academic success.
Viewing Scores and MTSS in ParentVUE
Assessment results are posted for families to view in ParentVue at the end of each assessment window. Our winter testing window is just closing; you can expect to see results in about a week in the Documents section of ParentVue.
If your student has a reading plan or is receiving intervention services, those plans and related information can be found in the MTSS section. Checking these areas regularly is a helpful way to stay informed about your child’s academic progress and supports throughout the year.
A step-by-step video tutorial provides clear directions for logging in and navigating directly to the MTSS section to view assessment information.
Need Help Accessing ParentVUE?
If you need assistance accessing ParentVUE, the county ParentVUE webpage offers an overview of all platform features and explains how to access each section. These tools are designed to make viewing your child’s information simple and convenient.
⏰It’s Kindergarten Registration Time!
Kindergarten helps children learn and practice the social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives.
Fairfax County Public Schools typically conduct kindergarten registration events, including orientation, in the spring. Eligible children can be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps schools prepare and ensure they have the teachers and resources needed on the first day of school.
If your child will attend our school, please gather necessary documents and complete registration forms as soon as possible.
FCPS offers support and resources for all families to help with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For support in other languages, please visit the FCPS Registration webpage.
🧮McLean Math Tournament Opportunity
Do you have a 5th or 6th grader who enjoys math challenges? McLean High School Math League is sponsoring a math tournament for students in grades 5-8. Submit your interest here to learn more!
