Important Dates
Early Release Wednesday
To maximize student safety and enhance our Early Release Wednesday (ERW) procedures and operations, we are resurveying our families for the four (4) remaining ERWs this school year. It is important we have ERW dismissal information from all our families. Additionally, we have updated our school policies regarding how families may communicate changes in dismissal plans for ERWs. In this new survey we ask you review these new policies and acknowledge your understanding of our new policies. If you have questions or feedback about ERWs or our new policies, please contact Principal Morris at kmorris@fcps.edu.

Important Meal Kit Information:
- Kits are charged based on a student’s meal status (Free, Reduced, or Paid).
- Students may claim one breakfast and one lunch kit per day.
- Students who eat a meal at school during the day are not eligible for a take-home kit on the same day.

K&K Student Accident Insurance
Finance/Risk Management recommends that schools remind families on a quarterly basis the availability of voluntary student accident insurance. We are increasingly finding that some families do not have medical insurance due to affordability challenges. With multiple forms distributed at the beginning of the school year, important information about student accident insurance may not receive sufficient attention. Periodic reminders throughout the year are therefore recommended.
Fairfax County Public Schools does not provide medical insurance for accidents that occur at school. Parents may want to consider if purchasing voluntary student insurance is appropriate for their family.
K & K Insurance Group offers student accident insurance coverage that parents may purchase. For families without other medical insurance, this plan may be a helpful resource. Additionally, for families who already have coverage, this plan may help offset costs such as deductibles and co-pays. Coverage may be purchased at any time during the school year.
