Tiger Tales
Tiger's Den
Families,
We are finally back to school. As we continue to experience cold temperatures and an increase in illness in the county, please remember our attendance procedures. If a student will be absent, families can call the office, send a message to the teacher via talking points or email to report full-day absences for the current school day. For late arrivals and early dismissals, please contact the school office directly.
We appreciate your support and always welcome your feedback.
Have a wonderful week.
Hoang and Laura
Winter Weather Transportation Reminders
The FCPS Office of Transportation Services will notify families of any changes to bus stops due to road conditions. Until roads and bus stops are completely clear of snow, there may be some bus delays. Families can monitor the Bus Delay website to get up-to-date information on routes that are running more than 10 minutes late. Parents will also receive an email if a bus is more than 30 minutes late.
Save the Date: Parent Coffee
Join us for our Parent Coffee on Friday, February 13, at 9:30 AM in the school cafeteria! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families and share experiences. We are also excited to share that coffee will be brewed and served by our students from the Kilmer Center Coffee Shop! We look forward to seeing you there to enjoy a morning together and support them.

FCPS Ombuds Office Provides Confidential Guidance
The Office of the Ombuds engages with families, students, and staff to offer resources and improve the experience of each and every member of the FCPS community. They work as an independent confidential resource to help answer questions, offer options to resolve concerns, and hear complaints regarding FCPS matters. Anyone seeking assistance from the Office of the Ombuds may call 571-423-4014, text 571-496-8284, email ombuds@fcps.edu, or visit the ombuds webpage, where you may submit a question. Ombuds staff do not change or make decisions, policies, or regulations; take sides; or provide legal advice.
🚍 Here Comes the Bus
Want to know if your child's bus is on schedule or where the bus is? Here Comes the Bus® is an easy-to-use website and app that enables parents to see the location of their child’s school bus — almost in real time — on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer.
Parents can track multiple buses if their children don’t all ride the same bus; know exactly when children arrive at school or the bus stop; and receive customized text and/or email notifications about bus locations, schedule changes, or delays.
To get started, download the app from the Apple iOS or Android app store. Check out the Here Comes the Bus and Frequently Asked Questions webpages for more information.
Already using the Here Comes the Bus app? Send your feedback to HCTB@fcps.edu.
Note: eNotify text messaging will continue to be used for reporting bus delays and bus incidents.
