Message from the President
Hello Fairfax High School Families, Teachers, and Staff,
I hope everyone is staying warm! I am hoping some of this ice starts to melt soon! I had the pleasure of seeing the Fairfax Academy’s “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”. It was a fun show and the students did a great job!! If your student is interested in a Fairfax Academy course for next school year, stop by their Open House tonight, February 10th @ 6:30pm.
Don’t forget to sign your students up for the Mock SAT/ACT in March!! More info below on registration.
Senior parents I will be sending out a letter soon with info on an upcoming ANG fundraiser, please keep an eye out.

Fairfax Academy Open House, February 10
 Is your student interested in taking Fairfax Academy courses next year?
The Fairfax Academy for Communications and the Arts inspires and empowers a diverse body of learners to explore career pathways employing current industry trends taught by dedicated professionals.
Join us for the Fairfax Academy Open House on February 10, from 6:30-7:30pm. Families should enter the building at Door 1, and meet staff in the "commons," the main hallway alongside the auditorium.
Fairfax Academy, housed within Fairfax High School, is one of six career and technical education centers in FCPS offering elective courses with a career emphasis. Students from surrounding FCPS high schools are eligible and invited to join us for these specialized electives as part of their regular school day.

Mock SAT (digital) or Mock ACT (paper), Mar. 7
FHS Academic Boosters is partnering with Applerouth Tutoring to offer the Mock SAT (digital format) and the Mock ACT (paper format) exams again this school year: Saturday, March 7th.
This is a perfect opportunity for students who haven’t started their testing to become familiar with the format in a stress-free environment at FHS for only $25. Students will receive detailed score reports to help them determine which areas they need to study.
Students taking the Mock SAT must bring a fully charged computer.
March 7th tests:
Mock (digital) SAT registration (limited to 75): Cost $25
