Fairfax Villa students out enjoying the snow!
Dear Fairfax Villa Community,
We hope you and your family have had a wonderful week home together -- and have been able to stay safe and warm in this snow!
We are excited about our PTA Event that is happening on Saturday. We would love to have you join us at our Fairfax Villa Ice Skating Party! We will be meeting at Fairfax Ice Arena from 6:45 to 8:45pm. It will be a wonderful time to reconnect with one another after our week away. You can save your time by buying tickets and skate rentals before the event by using our Pre-Sale Link. Pizza and concessions will be available for purchase.
Our custodians have been working hard to ensure our school is ready for a safe return next week. As you send your child to school, please remind them to be extra vigilant of their surroundings in the snow. As we navigate our arrival and dismissal, we will need to be mindful of one another to ensure everyone is safe.
Our wonderful faculty and staff have been working hard to help our students finish the second quarter strong. It has been a wonderful first half of the year here at The Villa. We appreciate all you are doing at home to support your child’s success!
Feel free to reach out with any questions you have, or simply to connect. We look forward to speaking with you and building strong relationships in our school community!
Warmly,
Ms. Textoris & Mrs. Burke

Kindergarten helps children learn and practice the social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives.
Fairfax County public schools typically conduct kindergarten registration events, including orientation, in the spring. Eligible children can be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps schools prepare and ensure they have the teachers and resources needed on the first day of school.
If your child will attend our school, please gather necessary documents and complete registration forms as soon as possible.
FCPS offers support and resources for all families to help with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For support in other languages, please visit the FCPS Registration webpage.
Mark your calendar for our 3rd Grade Family Folk Dance Night on Wednesday, February 11th! This event is for 3rd grade families only.
Students should arrive at 6:45 and the program will begin at 7:00 in the Fairfax Villa gym.
Come ready to dance! More info will be sent home in a few weeks.
The Office of the Ombuds engages with families, students, and staff to offer resources and improve the experience of each and every member of the FCPS community. They work as an independent confidential resource to help answer questions, offer options to resolve concerns, and hear complaints regarding FCPS matters.
Anyone seeking assistance from the Office of the Ombuds may call 571-423-4014, text 571-496-8284, email ombuds@fcps.edu, or visit the ombuds webpage, where you may submit a question. Ombuds staff do not change or make decisions, policies, or regulations; take sides; or provide legal advice.
At Fairfax Villa, we have a school improvement goal around improving our attendance rate. We would like to see our absenteeism rate decrease this year from 12% to 9%.
Here is our Attendance “Tip of the Week!”
