Our custodians have been working extra hard to clear the areas around Haycock. For those walking from the Westmoreland Road area, please remind your child not to climb on the high piles of snow near the walkers door. For now, we should all take the sidewalk to be safe!
Dear Haycock Families,
Many thanks to our custodial team- Vilma, Rafael, Miriam, and Ignacio. They have been doing nothing short of back breaking work all last week and today to shovel our sidewalks, parking lots, and playground area. Please assist us by shoveling your own sidewalks to allow for safe student return to school tomorrow.
The SCA will be conducting the Soup-er Bowl Canned Food Drive this week, February 3-6. Students will be able to place their donated canned good in the "end zone" of the team they think will win the Super Bowl. Each can equals one vote for the Super Bowl team of their choice. Please no expired cans! The canned goods from this drive will be going to the Bailey's Crossroads/Culmore Community.
Due to the snow days last week and today, the end of quarter 2 was moved from January 28th to February 4th. This impacts the dates on which second quarter report cards will be visible in SIS ParentVUE and paper copies sent home. Those dates have been adjusted below.
We hope to see you this Friday, February 6, for the PTA Bingo night. There will be two sessions, 5:30-6:30 and 7:00-8:00. Join us for a fun-filled family evening!
We look forward to welcoming our students back tomorrow morning. We are on a two hour delay- arrival will begin at 11:05 and our day will begin at 11:20 a.m.
With appreciation for your partnership,
Liz Beaty, Principal embeaty@fcps.edu
Heather Boyd, AP HABoyd@fcps.edu
Krystal Styles, AP krstyles@fcps.edu
