A Message from Principal Ritter
Dear Kings Glen Families -
The past two weeks have certainly been out of the ordinary! We hope everyone stayed cozy and made the most of our unexpected snow days. We want to extend a huge thank you to our incredible custodial team for their tireless work clearing snow and ice to keep us safe. We were thrilled to welcome our students back to the building yesterday; Al E Gator was a bit lonely without his fellow Gators!
We are incredibly grateful to the community members who have supported in the neighborhoods with shoveling and shuttling students to school.
On another note, we have had a wonderful time getting to know our new Assistant Principal, Chrissy Gibbs. Ms. Gibbs comes with a wealth of experience, warmth and flexibility as she learns the ropes at Kings Glen. She fits right in with our Gator Nation!

Tdap & MenACWY for Rising 7th Graders
As required by the Code of VA, all students entering 7th grade are required to have one dose of each of the following immunizations: Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis booster (Tdap) given at age 7 or older, and Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY) given at age 10 or older.
Immunizations are available from your child’s healthcare provider, the Fairfax County Health Department, or other community resources. Visit our FCPS Immunization Resources page for more information. Schedule your child’s immunizations early, as summer is a busy time for families and healthcare providers.
