We Were Glowing!

Our Glow Party last Friday night was a HUGE success. Students and families had so much fun dancing and having fun with friends. Thank you PTA for planning and organizing such a special FREE event for our entire school!

Stock the Lounge

It’s time to show our Willow Springs staff some love! We’re restocking the staff lounges with treats and snacks, and we’d love your help to make it a success.

After our incredible turnout this fall, we can’t wait to see the lounges full again.

  • Donate Snacks: Sign up here!
  • Help in Person: We also have a few spots for volunteers to help us stock the shelves.
  • Deadline: Please send items in by Thursday, February 5

Thank you for being such a supportive community and helping us treat our amazing teachers!

It's Kindergarten Registration Time!

Kindergarten helps children learn and practice the social, emotional, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills they will use throughout their lives.

Fairfax County public schools typically conduct kindergarten registration events, including orientation, in the spring. Eligible children can be registered throughout the summer, but registering your child early helps schools prepare and ensure they have the teachers and resources needed on the first day of school.

If your child will attend our school, please gather necessary documents and complete registration forms as soon as possible.

FCPS offers support and resources for all families to help with registration and the transition to kindergarten. For support in other languages, please visit the FCPS Registration webpage

Upcoming Student Experience Survey at Willow Springs

Our school will soon participate in the FCPS Student Experience Survey. This survey will gather important feedback from students about their school experiences to help FCPS make meaningful improvements.

All students in grades 3-6, except those who have opted out, will receive a link to the survey in their FCPS email on February 23. We will administer the survey during the school day between Monday, February 23 and Friday, March 6. Any student may take the survey at home, if they are unable to take the survey during the school day. You will receive a communication with details on how to preview the survey and opt your child out, if you choose. The electronic opt-out form can also be accessed at this link.

We believe it's important to hear from our students about what we're doing well and where we can improve. This work also aligns with the equity commitments in FCPS’ 2023-30 Strategic Plan, which include a focus on amplifying student voice and experiences as we work toward meeting plan goals.
