Dear Spring Hill Families,
As we anticipate a potential winter storm, we hope you all will stay warm and safe! While we hope you get plenty of time for sledding and hot cocoa, we also want to ensure our students can stay connected to their learning. Accessing Learning from Home – You can log into FCPS websites from any device:
-
Log in to Schoology (lms.fcps.edu): Head to the Schoology login page using your student’s credentials.
-
Find the Clever Icon in the waffle: Once inside Schoology, look for the Clever tile (it looks like a blue "C"). Clicking this will automatically sign your student into their Clever portal.
Student Credentials for Clever: Username: studentid@fcpsschools.net Password: student created password (please ask your child)
-
Explore Learning Links: From the Clever dashboard, students can access all their favorite apps and learning resources without needing extra passwords!
Students can also use our Spring Hill Student links and explore educational resources with Clever or Google (when prompted for a log in).
Please stay safe and warm!
Amy Briggs
🧤 Prepare for the Winter Weather
Winter weather will be here before you know it! Watch this video to see how weather closing decisions are made at FCPS.
FCPS’ website is generally the first place to find out about emergency weather closings. Other communication channels will be used as quickly as possible, including email, text, social media, the new FCPS mobile app, and news stations. Learn more about how schedule changes are communicated.
Be sure to plan for the winter season. Update your contact information in SIS ParentVUE, bookmark the FCPS website, and arrange emergency child care if needed.
Women's History Month is coming up!
To celebrate Women's History Month in March, Spring Hill will be hosting a school-wide project to honor the many accomplishments of women in various fields. Each class will pick an influential woman of their choice and create a display to represent that woman.
We are looking for volunteers!
As the classes learn about different famous women, we want to also highlight the women in our community. SHES will be hosting grade-level assemblies highlighting the amazing moms, grandmothers, aunts, friends and all other women we know!
If you would like to present in person about your job, please sign up HERE.
If you would like to send in information to be displayed about your self, please email a photo and a brief paragraph about yourself to Mrs. Konstantin at ejkonstantin@fcps.edu by March 6th.
Come see the displays throughout the school during our SHES Fun Fair on March 14th.

Student Experience Survey
Our school will participate in the FCPS Student Experience Survey. This survey will gather important feedback from students about their school experiences to help FCPS make meaningful improvements.
All students in grades 3-6, except those who have opted out, will receive a link to the survey in their FCPS email on February 23. We will administer the survey during the school day between Monday, February 23, and Friday, March 6. Any student may take the survey at home, if they are unable to take the survey during the school day. You will receive a communication with details on how to preview the survey and opt your child out, if you choose. The electronic opt-out form can also be accessed at this link.
We believe it's important to hear from our students about what we're doing well and where we can improve. This work also aligns with the equity commitments in FCPS’ 2023-30 Strategic Plan, which include a focus on amplifying student voice and experiences as we work toward meeting plan goals.
