Message from the President
Hello Fairfax High School Families, Teachers, and Staff,
I hope everyone stayed safe and warm this long winter weekend. Winter Storm Fern wasn’t exactly what they said it would but it was still messy!! We had our first meeting of the new year last Tuesday. New City of Fairfax School Board Superintendent Dr. Wright came, introduced himself, and sat with us to answer questions. We really appreciate him taking the time to come see us.
This past Saturday, the PTSA Hospitality Team worked closely with Mrs. Hanapole and her team to provide breakfast/brunch for the 60+ volunteer judges at FHS's annual science fair!
It was great meeting some of the volunteers from our community, members of the FHS family base, and teachers/staff!
A special THANK YOU to Whole Foods @ Fair Lakes, Harris Teeter in Fairfax,
families via the Sign-Up Genius (SUG), and the FHS ANG team for contributing to the breakfast!
An additional THANKS to our new members and those who have donated but funding remains at very low levels & we need your donations @ Hospitality Donations to support future events this school year!!!
Thank you to Dr. Aye and Mrs. Cate who arranged for a gift basket that was raffled off to one of our new members, who joined at the science fair.
And you can JOIN, too! By becoming a PTSA member, you are supporting our FHS teachers, students, and community! Your member dues and donations work to fund all of our activities and programs, help keep you engaged and informed about what is happening in our school community and provide opportunities to get involved if your time permits. There are still a lot of things planned for the year. Unfortunately, without your support we will not be able to support the FHS Community as much as we would like to. We are brainstorming for more ways to fundraise throughout the year but membership and donations are a big part of how we get to where we need to be. If you’ve been meaning to join and/or donate and haven’t, please do! If you are worried joining will commit you to something, it won’t. If you think “others will do it, I don’t have to”, then nobody will. Please JOIN the PTSA today!!!
Parent/Adult: $20, Teacher/Staff: $12, FHS Student: $8.

Don’t forget to order your senior magnets and yard signs for your seniors. Not only are these great ways to celebrate your student but it’s a fundraiser for All Night Grad.
