ALL FAMILIES QUESTIONNAIRE

Please take a few minutes to complete our Family Needs Questionnaire. This short, 4 question form, helps us better support families with things like school resources, navigating FCPS platforms, seasonal needs, and more.

It’s optional, confidential, and not a request for help—just a way for us to plan and support our community.

Thank you for sharing your voice!

3RD-6TH STUDENT SURVEY

Dear Families,

In the coming weeks, FCPS will be administering the Student Experience Survey to all students in grades 3-12. It will help the school division better understand students’ experiences in our schools. It will take about 30 minutes and be completed during school hours on February 23rd. If you would like to view the survey, please visit the Student Experience Survey webpage

If you do not want your child to participate in the survey, you may opt them out using the online form on the Student Experience Survey webpage. You only need to complete the opt-out form by Friday, February 13, if you do not want your child to participate in the Student Experience Survey.

Thank you for supporting our efforts to make improvements in FCPS schools. If you have questions about the Student Experience Survey, please contact research@fcps.edu.

Sincerely, John Carmichael

Principal

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

smiling boy on red to black gradient background with "ATTENDANCE MATTERS" in white lettering

  • This is the time of year when winter weather and children’s illnesses can take a toll on school attendance. But it’s important to get your children to school every day possible.
  • If you are unsure whether to send your children to school, consult your doctor or this website for guidance. Our school nurse is also a terrific resource for chronic health conditions.
  • Do what you can to keep your children healthy. Dress them warmly for the cold weather and make sure they’ve got hats and gloves. Encourage them to wash their hands regularly and send them to school with a bottle of hand sanitizer.
  • Help your children learn to persevere. Today, they will  learn to overcome a snowdrift. In the future, he will have the grit to triumph over even greater obstacles to their dreams.
