Dear Fairfax Villa Community,
Happy New Year! We hope that you and your family are settling into the New Year with ease and an overall sense of wellbeing. Last week was another great week at the Villa! Students and teachers discussed their hopes and dreams for the new year and enjoyed getting back into the school routine.
Thank you to everyone who came to our “Dancing Through the Decades” celebration on Friday, and a special thanks to our wonderful PTA and parent volunteers who made it possible. It was wonderful to see so many of our current, and past, community members come together to celebrate what makes Fairfax Villa so special. Our next PTA event will be a community Ice Skating Party on January 31st. We hope to see you there!
As we head into the second week of 2026, we continue to be thankful for your support and trust in sending us your children each day. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the new year, and look forward to connecting with you soon.

Ice Skating Party
Spend an evening on the ice at Villa's first Ice Skating Party. On Saturday January 31st from 6:45pm - 8:45pm join your friends and family at Fairfax Ice Arena.

Heritage Night
Learn about and celebrate the many heritages of Villa families on February 20 from 6-8pm. Through food, traditional clothing, music, and more, take a tour around the world.

FCPS’ 2026-27 Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Program lottery opens on Monday, January 12. The program offers students in kindergarten and first grade the opportunity to learn in English and another language — French, German, Japanese, Korean, or Spanish — for half of each instructional day.
The online, countywide lottery is open to Fairfax County residents. Families must have a SIS ParentVUE account. Students not currently enrolled in FCPS should register at their base school before applying for the immersion program.
Families applying for first grade must do so by Thursday, February 12, at 4 p.m. Those applying for kindergarten must do so by Monday, March 2, at 4 p.m.
