Welcome back! We hope your winter break was filled with rest, joy, and quality time with loved ones. As we step into 2026, we are thrilled to see our hallways filled once again with the energy and curiosity of our students.
Every Day Counts: The Power of Attendance
As we begin the second half of the school year, we want to emphasize the importance of regular school attendance.
When students are here consistently, they build strong relationships, stay on track with their lessons, and develop a sense of belonging. Even missing just two days a month can make it harder for children to keep up with reading and math.
-
Consistency is Key: Arriving on time helps students settle into their routine without feeling rushed.
-
Healthy Habits: Of course, if your child is truly ill (fever or vomiting), they should stay home to recover. Otherwise, we can’t wait to see them every morning!
Bundling Up for the Cold
To ensure our students stay safe and comfortable during outdoor recess and arrival, please remember:
-
Layer Up: Jackets, hats, and gloves are essential for outdoor play.
-
Label Everything: Cold weather gear often ends up in the Lost and Found. Please write your child’s name on their tags!
-
Outdoor Recess: We aim to go outside whenever the temperature (including wind chill) is above 32°F. Fresh air is great for focus, so please make sure your child is prepared for the elements.
Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education. Let's make the rest of this school year the best one yet!
Sincerely,
Gina O'Neal, Principal
Christine Berry, Assistant Principal
Kevin Heron, Assistant Principal
