Update on Our Shining Stars 🌟

sss

Oh no! It seems our school camera decided to take an unscheduled "nap" this week. Because of a technical glitch, we weren't able to capture the winning smiles of our latest Shining Star recipients. While we know our students shine bright enough to light up a room without a flash, we want to make sure their hard work is documented in all its glory! Rather than running a star-less shoutout, we’ve decided to hit the "reset" button so everyone gets the spotlight they deserve.

We are so sorry for the disappointment this may have caused our hardworking students this week. To make things right, we will be retaking all the photos this coming week and featuring a Double Feature of our brightest stars in next Friday's newsletter. We promise their "paparazzi moment" will be well worth the wait!

📝 Spelling Bee Update 🐝

Our school Spelling Bee is buzzing with excitement and coming up next month! Due to a delay in receiving grade-level spelling lists, classroom spelling bees will now take place during the week of January 19th. Spelling lists will be sent home with students next week so they can begin preparing.

The School Spelling Bee will be held on February 6th from 6:30–8:00 p.m. We are also looking for volunteers to help manage contestants and assist with directing attendees during the event.

If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering, please contact Mrs. Gray at JLGray@fcps.edu. We look forward to a fun and successful Spelling Bee season!
