Welcome Back! We have missed our students and it was great to open our doors on Monday and welcome them back from Winter Break! We hope you spent time relaxing and with those who make your heart full.
Coming into 2026, you will see that we are excited to bring back our Watch D.O.G.s and M.O.M.s program and begin a new tradition, Super Stallion Staff Shout Outs! Both of these programs build community and make Saratoga an amazing school!

Watch D.O.G.s and M.O.M.s
We are excited to share WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) and M.O.M.S. (Moms of Magnificent Student) is coming back!
WATCH D.O.G.S.®(Dads of Great Students) is a nationwide program that we are excited to facilitate at Saratoga Elementary. The goal is for our students to be positively impacted by the committed involvement of fathers and father figures on campus. The goal of the program is for you to volunteer at least one time this year. The program is open to all dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads, cousins, father figures and M.O.M.S (Mom’s of Magnificent Students). We are hosting a pizza party to kick-off of our program on 1/27/2026 @ 6pm . At the pizza party we will give out more information- you can choose your volunteer day and hear from our current D.O.G.S. about the experience. We can’t wait to have your presence on campus and see the positive impact of male-role models on our students.

Saratoga Super Stallion Staff Shout Outs
SCA is beginning a new tradition at Saratoga, Super Stallion Staff Shout Outs! Students will now have a chance to write short, positive notes to celebrate the amazing adults who help them every day. Whether it’s a teacher who goes the extra mile, a cafeteria staff member with a friendly hello, or a counselor who always listens — students can say, “You’re a Super Stallion!” Similar to the staff shout outs staff write for students, these notes will be read on our morning news. The purpose of them is to spread encouragement, school spirit, and build a positive community. Please look for additional information coming home next Wednesday. We will launch Saratoga Super Stallion Staff Shout Outs in February.
Student Experience Survey
Our school will participate in the FCPS Student Experience Survey. This survey will gather important feedback from students about their school experiences to help FCPS make meaningful improvements.
All students in grades 3-6, except those who have opted out, will receive a link to the survey in their FCPS email on February 23. We will administer the survey during the school day between Monday, February 23, and Friday, March 6. Any student may take the survey at home, if they are unable to take the survey during the school day. You will receive a communication with details on how to preview the survey and opt your child out, if you choose. The electronic opt-out form can also be accessed at this link.
We believe it's important to hear from our students about what we're doing well and where we can improve. This work also aligns with the equity commitments in FCPS’ 2023-30 Strategic Plan, which include a focus on amplifying student voice and experiences as we work toward meeting plan goals.

¡Bienvenidos de nuevo! Hemos echado de menos a nuestros estudiantes y fue maravilloso abrir nuestras puertas el lunes y darles la bienvenida de regreso después de las vacaciones de invierno. Esperamos que hayan disfrutado de un tiempo de descanso y en compañía de sus seres queridos.
Para el año 2026, nos entusiasma retomar nuestro programa Watch D.O.G.s y M.O.M.s e iniciar una nueva tradición: ¡Reconocimientos al personal de Super Stallion! Ambos programas fortalecen la comunidad y hacen de Saratoga una escuela extraordinaria.

¡Nos complace anunciar que WATCH D.O.G.S. (Padres de Alumnos Ejemplares) y M.O.M.S. (Madres de Alumnos Magníficos) regresan!
WATCH D.O.G.S.® (Padres de Alumnos Ejemplares) es un programa nacional que nos entusiasma implementar en la Escuela Primaria Saratoga. El objetivo es que nuestros estudiantes se beneficien de la participación activa de padres y figuras paternas en la escuela. La meta del programa es que usted sea voluntario al menos una vez este año. El programa está abierto a todos los padres, abuelos, tíos, padrastros, primos, figuras paternas y M.O.M.S. (Madres de Alumnos Magníficos). Organizaremos una fiesta de pizza para dar inicio al programa el 27 de enero de 2026 a las 6:00 p. m. En la fiesta de pizza, brindaremos más información: podrá elegir su día para ser voluntario y escuchar a nuestros actuales voluntarios de D.O.G.S. sobre su experiencia. Estamos ansiosos por contar con su presencia en la escuela y ver el impacto positivo de los modelos masculinos en nuestros estudiantes.

Reconocimientos al personal de Saratoga Super Stallion
¡SCA está comenzando una nueva tradición en Saratoga: los reconocimientos al personal de Super Stallion! Los estudiantes ahora tendrán la oportunidad de escribir notas cortas y positivas para reconocer a los increíbles adultos que los ayudan todos los días. Ya sea un maestro que se esfuerza al máximo, un miembro del personal de la cafetería que siempre saluda con una sonrisa o un consejero que siempre escucha, los estudiantes pueden decir: "¡Eres un Super Stallion!". Al igual que los reconocimientos que el personal escribe para los estudiantes, estas notas se leerán en las noticias matutinas. El propósito es fomentar el ánimo, el espíritu escolar y construir una comunidad positiva. Estén atentos a más información que les enviaremos a casa el próximo miércoles. Lanzaremos los reconocimientos al personal de Saratoga Super Stallion en febrero.
Encuesta sobre la experiencia estudiantil
Nuestra escuela participará en la Encuesta sobre la experiencia estudiantil de FCPS. Esta encuesta recopilará comentarios importantes de los estudiantes sobre sus experiencias escolares para ayudar a FCPS a realizar mejoras significativas.
Todos los estudiantes de 3.º a 6.º grado, excepto aquellos que hayan optado por no participar, recibirán un enlace a la encuesta en su correo electrónico de FCPS el 23 de febrero. Administraremos la encuesta durante el horario escolar entre el lunes 23 de febrero y el viernes 6 de marzo. Cualquier estudiante puede responder la encuesta en casa si no puede hacerlo durante el horario escolar. Recibirá una comunicación con detalles sobre cómo previsualizar la encuesta y cómo excluir a su hijo/a de la participación, si así lo desea. También puede acceder al formulario electrónico para no participar a través de este enlace.
Creemos que es importante escuchar a nuestros estudiantes sobre lo que estamos haciendo bien y dónde podemos mejorar. Este trabajo también se alinea con los compromisos de equidad del Plan Estratégico 2023-30 de FCPS, que incluyen un enfoque en amplificar la voz y las experiencias de los estudiantes a medida que trabajamos para alcanzar los objetivos del plan.
