Order forms will be coming home today with your child.
Every year, Floris participates with the Westfield Pyramid in celebrating Kindness Week, a time to promote empathy, kindness, and inclusion. This year, Kindness Spirit Week will take place February 9–13. “We Choose Kindness” shirts are available for students to purchase if they wish, and there will be opportunities to wear them during the week.
We are offering short-sleeve shirts and hooded sweatshirts in black with white and pink ink. Why pink? The color is based on an anti-bullying campaign started by Travis Price and David Shepherd, who took a stand for a fellow student who was bullied for wearing a pink shirt to school.
Quick turnaround! Order forms are due by Wednesday, January 16, and items will be delivered to your child’s classroom by February 6. If you would like to purchase a shirt, please complete the order form that comes home with your child and return it to Sarah de Kramer (school counselor) with checks payable to Floris ES.
