Fairfax County General Assembly Delegation Public Hearing

On Saturday, January 10, beginning at 9am, our state elected officials who represent residents of Fairfax County will hold a public hearing at the Fairfax Government Center to hear from YOU, before they go to Richmond for the 2026 legislative session. This is your opportunity to *show up and speak up* for public education. Ask your state Delegate and Senator to support funding for high school coursework, special education, advanced academic instruction, English-language instruction, competitive teachers salaries, school construction, and more.

School Boundary Public Hearing
On Saturday, January 10, starting 10am at Luther Jackson Middle School, the Fairfax County School Board will hold a public hearing to receive testimony on the final proposed school boundary maps, which are set to be available on January 8 and considered by the School Board on January 22. To sign up to provide public comment, please visit the registration webpage.
In case of overflow attendance, there will be a second public hearing on January 13, 6pm at Luther Jackson Middle School. A snow date is set for Saturday, January 17, if needed.
The Speaker's List closes at 4:30 p.m., on January 7, 2026 and the Fairfax County School Board Office will notify speakers (via email) no later than the morning of January 8, 2026 and indicate whether they are assigned to the January 10, 2026 Public Hearing or the Overflow Public Hearing on the evening of January 13, 2026.
