Principal's Message December 19, 2025

Q1

Quarter 1 HighLights

As we head into the holiday season, I want to wish each of you a joyful, restful, and peaceful winter vacation.

Quarter 1 was full of wonderful highlights which are listed in the graphic above such as 153 students on the all A Honor Roll, 92% of our students were not chronically absent, pep rallies, music concerts, community service activities like the Walk 4 Hunger and various staff recognitions.

This break is a time for rest and relaxation, and I am happy to share that students will not have any homework over the winter break. We encourage our students to unplug, spend time with loved ones, and recharge for the new year ahead.

Before the break, we enjoyed a wonderful Spirit Week filled with laughter, joy, school pride, and plenty of learning sprinkles along the way. It was a great reminder of how special our school community truly is.

As we look ahead to the new year, we welcome new beginnings, fresh opportunities, and continued growth together. Thank you for your ongoing support, partnership, and commitment to our school—it truly makes a difference.

Wishing you and your families a happy holiday season and a bright new year. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for what’s ahead.

As we shared last week, Stone Middle School was recognized as being On Track.

Visit the Budget Story webpage to learn more about the FCPS budget and the funding challenges that schools across Virginia, not just FCPS, face because of outdated state funding formulas.Read more of Dr. Reid’s Weekly Reflections.
