BIG BASKETBALL GAME TODAY:
Hornets v. Seahawks @ South Lakes: Girls @ 5:45 & Boys @ 7:30pm.
- We want EVERYONE to “Rock the RED & BLACK” and show your school spirit!
TICKET INFORMATION:
- South Lakes will open the ticket gates at 5:00pm. The cost of all Varsity Basketball games is $5.00 for students and $7.00 for adults. Buy your tickets early HERE.
- No Reentry if you leave the game
- Ticket sales will end at the conclusion of the 3rd Quarter
- Entry into the school & game will stop at the start of the 4th Quarter
STUDENT & YOUTH ATTENDANCE POLICY:
- Students may be asked to show their school ID.
- Elementary and Middle School students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
NEW ENTRY PROTOCOL:
- Open Gate Weapons Detection will be in use.
- To continue enhancing the safety and security of all attendees, we are implementing new entry measures this Friday.

All Attendees - including adults and young children - will be required to pass through the Open Gate weapons detection system upon entry. This is the same layered security system used by our students daily during morning arrival.
- No backpacks, bags, outside food, drinks or athletic equipment
- Please be aware that common items can trigger the alarm and cause delays (e.g., water bottles, heavy/thick glasses cases, etc). We recommend limiting these items if possible.
PARKING & ARRIVAL TIPS:
Please plan to arrive early to find a spot and allow plenty of time to get through the gate.
- Herndon HS Spectators: Park by the flagpoles at Door #1.
- South Lakes HS Spectators: Park by the stadium at Door #3/4.
Thank you for your cooperation as we work to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone! If you or your student plans to come, please take the time to discuss the relevant information below:
- No outside food or drinks are allowed. The concession stand will be open and does accept credit cards.
- We cheer for HERNDON and not against our opponent. All cheering should be positive.
- Elementary & middle school students must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Whistles, air horns, instruments and similar noisemakers are prohibited.
- Anyone caught trying to enter the game without paying will be removed and can be banned from attending future games.
Our goal is to create a positive community event. Any behaviors that take away from this goal may result in being removed from the game and not being allowed to attend future games.
