Holiday Luncheon for Teachers & Staff
Food that was provided by the PTSO for teachers and staff
On Tuesday, December 9th, the PTSO held our annual holiday luncheon for our teachers and staff.
Your membership contributions pay for events like this luncheon, and help show appreciation to the people who have a direct impact on our Woodson community.
Several of the teachers and staff have reached out with overwhelming gratitude. In turn, we would like to thank our PTSO members. Your generosity in joining the PTSO is what funds these events!
PTSO Holiday Food Drive- Thank you for your support!
Thank you for your support
Dear Woodson Families,
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the generous response to our holiday season food drive. Thanks to this compassionate community, we raised over $5,700 to support Woodson families in need.
With these funds, and with tremendous leadership from the Student Services Department and our school's Family Liaison, Mel Silva, who also collected additional funds from the community and teachers, we have been able to make a real difference, distributing grocery cards to families impacted by the November SNAP cuts, and providing over 50 families with groceries for the Thanksgiving break.
Now we’re preparing to use the remaining funds to provide 60+ families with groceries for the winter break. This incredible outpouring of support reflects the very best of our Woodson community.
Special thanks to:
- The Student Services Department for their leadership and coordination
- Mel Silva, our dedicated Family Liaison, for her tireless work
- Every family, teacher, and community member who contributed
For families who may need additional support, please remember that the Cav Cupboard remains available as a resource throughout the year.
We can't thank you enough for your generosity and compassion.
With gratitude,
The Woodson PTSO
